Where is my data?
The calculator works without a login and keeps your plan, payments, expenses, subscriptions, and debts on your iPhone. To back up and synchronize that profile, open Today, tap the account button, and choose Sign in with Apple. Pocket Split stores the synchronized copy in your private iCloud database.
Use the same Apple sign-in and iCloud accounts on another iPhone, then tap Sync Now in Account to restore the latest profile. If iCloud Drive is off, your changes remain safe on the current iPhone but will not synchronize.
How do I sign out or delete my account?
Open Today and tap the account button. Sign Out keeps the private iCloud copy for later and switches this iPhone back to its separate local-only profile. Delete Pocket Split Account removes Pocket Split’s private CloudKit record and the signed-in profile’s local copy. Banking service records, if connected banking becomes available in a future version, may have separate legal retention requirements.
How do I change my split?
Open the Plan tab and update expected income or any monthly target. The amount available for debt payoff adjusts automatically.
How do I delete my history?
Open Plan, choose Privacy & your data, then delete your saved payment history.
How do subscriptions and debt tools work?
Add monthly or annual subscriptions to see an honest monthly total. Add debts and choose a snowball or avalanche payoff order; Pocket Split provides planning calculations but does not move money.
How does the Automation demo work?
In versions with an Automation tab, open it and choose Explore the banking demo. The sample bank accounts and deposits are fictional, and no real money moves. Choose a detected deposit, review its bucket amounts and destinations, and confirm the demo transfer. Use the simulation controls to see completed or partially completed transfers.
Projected allocations stay separate from simulated completed funds. A pending transfer has not completed. If part of a split fails, check each bucket’s status before taking another action; do not repeat the whole split.
How do I pause or reset the demo?
Use Pause all in Automation to stop new simulated transfers. Review and approve is the default. Automatic demo transfers require a separate authorization with limits and an expiration date; you can revoke that authorization from the dashboard. Reset demo restores the sample accounts and activity.
