Data collection
Pocket Split contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking, and we do not sell your data. You can use the calculator without an account, in which case its financial planning data remains on your iPhone.
If you choose Sign in with Apple and enable iCloud Drive, Pocket Split sends your allocation plan, payments, expenses, subscriptions, and debts to your private CloudKit database for account recovery and synchronization. Apple isolates that private database to your iCloud account; Pocket Split’s developer cannot browse its records in the developer portal.
This policy describes the calculator and offline demo. Live bank connections and real-money transfers are not currently available in the public app. Enabling connected banking would require additional provider disclosures and an updated policy before you connect an account.
Data stored on your device
Your allocation plan, saved payments, logged expenses, subscription details, and debt details are stored locally on your device. This information is used to calculate splits, spending limits, renewal totals, and payoff order. If you sign in, your first local profile is migrated into the signed-in profile and a private copy is synchronized through iCloud. The website calculator stores its saved payment history in your browser.
In versions with the Automation demo, example accounts, sample deposits, simulated transfers, settings, and demo authorizations are also stored on your device. The demo uses fictional bank data and has no connection to a financial institution. Biometric confirmation uses Apple’s device authentication; Pocket Split does not receive or store your face, fingerprint, or device passcode.
Deleting the app removes its locally stored data unless your device restores it from an Apple backup; it does not itself delete a signed-in profile from iCloud. Use Account → Delete Pocket Split Account to delete Pocket Split’s private CloudKit record and that profile’s local copy. Signing out keeps the private iCloud copy available for a later sign-in and returns the device to its separate local-only profile.
Sign in with Apple and iCloud
When you sign in, Apple provides Pocket Split an app-specific user identifier and may provide your name and email the first time. Pocket Split stores those account details in this device’s Keychain to recognize your profile. Your name and email are not included in the CloudKit financial-data record.
Cloud synchronization requires the same Apple sign-in and iCloud accounts on your devices. If iCloud is unavailable, changes remain on your iPhone and the app tells you that synchronization has not completed.
Financial information
The calculator and offline demo do not request banking credentials or move money. Demo balances and transfer confirmations represent simulations only. Calculations are informational and controlled by you; they are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
Website visits and support
This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. The hosting service receives technical information needed to deliver a page, such as a visitor’s IP address and browser request. Do not enter bank login details or account numbers on this website.
If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are received through our email service and used to respond. Avoid including account numbers, identity documents, passwords, or other sensitive financial information.
